The Silver Lake Jubilee, a weekend-long music and arts festival, kicks off at 10am on Saturday morning under the Sunset Blvd. bridge on Mayra Ave. Organized by the Los Angeles Arts & Athletics Alliance (LAAAA), the Jubilee is a fundraiser that benefits local arts, athletics, literary and music organizations, as well as programs that promote health living and sustainability. For lunch or dinner, enjoy a meal at one of dozens of gourmet food trucks. Plus, the organizers have implemented a zero waste program for the event by setting forth recycling guidelines as well as ridding the Jubilee of single-use plastic bottles, bags and Styrofoam.
With over 50 artists, musicians and performers across 4 stages and 2 days, the Silver Lake Jubilee is set to be a huge hit for its second year in Los Angeles. And, at only $5 a day for admission, it’s also quite a deal.
